Fintech had a revolutionary vision: turning your business’s CFO into an app. They wanted to take loads of financial paperwork and reports and put it in an easy-to-use, secure, and intuitive app that could yield important insights in a matter of seconds – your very own CFO in your pocket. Their vision was to have an app that can access mountains of paperwork conveniently in just a few taps, with all of the user’s financial business – from real-time cash flow, expense reports and even monthly and yearly projections.

There were two main things to consider in making the app. First, it has to be very easy to navigate, that even business owners who are not adept at new technology could navigate through the app and use it to push their business goals. Second, it had to have a precise algorithm that could read through a business’s financial reports, calculate its projections, and have real-time reports. The team designed the app with these points in mind.
There was a need for Fintech to look young and approachable. This was because Fintech is used for financials - something that is seen as “serious business” because it actually is. But the team wanted to visually communicate that the app is congenial - it’s simple, easy to use, and most of all, convenient. We opted with a minimalistic design and gave each of Fintech's sections a house color for easy identification: blue for Cash, green for Revenue, red for Expense, and yellow for Growth.
